Henriette Nielsen is Executive Vice President, Business Operations for Hikma – a leading global pharmaceutical company with 8,400 employees, operations across more than 50 countries and a portfolio of more than 700 generic and branded medicines.
Henriette joined Hikma in June 2018 and currently leads the company’s Business Operations, which includes Legal, Pharmacovigilance, Compliance, Risk, IT and Digital Business Improvement. Henriette trained as a lawyer and was General Counsel of the pharmaceutical company Actavis before moving into more operationally focused leadership roles within leading global pharmaceutical companies.
Henriette earned a Law Degree from the University of Copenhagen and a Masters of Law from the University of Edinburgh.
Xavier Schops is currently the Group General Counsel of Sonova AG, a Swiss listed medical devices company where he manages Legal, Compliance and Data Privacy. Xavier joined from Mondelez (ex-Kraft Foods) where he served as Chief Counsel Europe. A French trained lawyer with a Master in Finance, Xavier started his career for Michelin in France, Switzerland and Singapore before joining JCDecaux then Imerys as General Counsel EMEA and Asia-Pacific. Xavier then moved back to Switzerland as GC EMEA for PPG, a Fortune 200 chemical US group.
Over his career, beyond being a corporate and commercial attorney, Xavier focus has been on M&A, restructuring and partnerships, complex litigations, negotiations with public authorities as well as building and redesigning diverse international teams.
Paul Sweeney is an English and Irish-qualified Solicitor and currently serves as General Counsel at Legal & General Investment Management ("LGIM").
Paul joined LGIM in 2004 and has led the Legal team since 2008, at times also taking on responsibility for Compliance, Company Secretarial and Fund Governance during his tenure. As principal legal advisor to the LGIM board and its international affiliates, he also advises on matters of governance and regulation in support of LGIM’s global business. The legal team’s responsibilities include negotiating client, counterparty and fund documentation, researching and advising on matters of general law, participating in key business and regulatory projects, and maintaining appropriate and proportionate governance controls.
He joined LGIM in 2004 from the Financial Services Authority where he trained and practised as a Solicitor in the General Counsel’s Division with responsibilities including advising the FSA on the exercise of its powers under FSMA and EU Directives.
With extensive international experience in private practice and in-house Stefan is now Commercial and Legal Director, Company Secretary and the Chief Risk Officer at EnQuest PLC. He is also a non-executive director of The Offshore Pollution Liabilitity Association Limited. Stefan has worked in London, Paris, Dubai, Singapore, Jakarta and Hong Kong and been involved in energy related projects and transactions across all continents. He has expertise in M&A, project development, debt and equity finance, disputes and governance and risk management.
His previous positions include being global General Counsel at BG Group plc (an Executive Committee role and when appointed reputedly the youngest general counsel in the FTSE 100) and, as a partner in Fulbright & Jaworski LLC, leading the top-ranked Asia-Pacific energy practice of the largest Texan law firm.
